UNCLE SCROOGE , THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN

     If you have read the $2,000,000 story, you know what Uncle Scrooge and comic collecting means to RJ. We have sent in our first serious batch  of Scrooges and have seven 9.8 comics to offer. A quick look through the STANDARD CATALOGUE OF COMICS indicates these are the only Uncle Scrooges to obtain this grade. To the best of our knowledge, these seven comics are the highest grade Uncle Scrooge comics in the world.

159 9.8 W $180.00 , The Golden Nugget Boat / Barks reprints # 35 35 cent Gold Key. Scrooge uses coins to decorate his fish bowl.
160 9.8 oww $180.00  The 2nd Richest Duck 35 cent Gold Key 1979 . Scrooge preserves his coins by canning.
190 9.8 W $105.00  Hawaiian Mystery 50 cent Whitman. Donald sews greenbacks to patch up Scrooge's old coat. 1981
195 9.8 W $105.00 Only A Poor Man. 60 cent Whitman . Scrooge and his nephews check the level of Money Lake #1 in a rowboat. Scrooge seems concerned as the gage  is just below 20 feet. 1982

     Many world records are set with this collection. The 146 stands as the oldest 9.8 Disney book ever and is the only 30 cent comic with this grade. The 190 is the oldest high grade Disney Whitman comic. The 147 is the 1st 35 cent issue in the series with this grade. It's unlikely that any finer copy will ever exist for the 6 white page issues. 

      Each comic is accompanied with a Magnificent Seven certificate. The certificates will be individually produced and incorporate the name of the 1st owner of each comic. In the event the seven issues are purchased by one individual, an extra certificate will declare the collection origin as a group.

    We plan to submit more Scrooge comics to CGC for certification and undoubtedly more will attain this grade. We've priced these at regular market prices and  will include the entire Disney line into the Price Integrity program. For the most part collectors will need to special order order Disney books in 9.8 as there is no plan to market these at auctions. Walt Disney Comics and Stories, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse and a host of other titles are available.
