is one of the most popular CERTIFIED comics of all time. It's sister, a
Black cover Venom was the 1st 10.0 comic ever. This copy also made comic
history as it is the 1st Red cover 10.0 ever reported. We purchased this
from Red Planet in Feb 2001. We have no plans to sell it at this time as
we like having it in our office. If interested in purchasing this COOL

and has had offers over $3,000. We expect , the issue will fetch much more
as it is an important part of comic history and is one-of-a kind.

UPDATE : Sept 2001. We have a second MODERN LABEL Venom #1 10.0 for sale. $365. This is the 3rd Venom issue ever.
There are 4 red foil covers with the 10.0 grade. These are the 4 that will always remain as historical comics and will always be identified as the "Original" versions. Any others that follow will have the Universal Label, not the Modern Grade Label as offered here. Imagine 10 years from now that 20 or more issues are floating around. Which four are likely to be the most treasured issues?
In that CGC is discontinuing the Modern label, this is assurance that no more than the AWESOME FOUR will ever exist. An investment in this particular issue should not deteriate, in fact as others become available and generate interest in this book, it's value should increase. Issues with Universal Lable, of course will trade regularly at a lower price.
